In July 2005, Midea increased its share to 75% by purchasing another 24.5% stake from Royalstar. Midea-Royalstar JV currently possesses total assets of nearly USD253 million, and has more than 7000 employees. The facility covers totally 200 thousand square metres. The JV is marketing two well-known brands, Midea and Royalstar (in 2005, Midea brand value is USD3.45 billion by national authorized institution). The marketing network and after sale network cover the whole country, and company is dedicated to expand the international market.
